Smugglers Cottage is picture perfect with roses almost around the front door!
Tucked away in a quiet pocket of Barton on Sea this property will definitely take 'relaxing holiday' to another level. It is just an oasis of peace and beauty.
A 10 minute stroll will find you on the sea front with a slope down to the beach and glorious views across the Solent. A buzzy cafe for daytime food and lashings of ice cream, fancy dining at Pebbles Beach and a small parade of shops for essentials are all close at hand.
Relaxing, Sleeping, Living
- This thatched cob cottage welcomes you through a small hallway into the cosy lounge with traditional brickwork fireplace housing a gas fire for cosy evenings.
- Off the lounge you will find a separate dining room to the front of the property and a snug room with good quality sofa bed/chair for fifth guest, A small utility area leads to the downstairs shower room.
- The stairs are characterful (code for steep!) and tucked away behind a door from the lounge leading to two lovely cottagey bedrooms with loads of storage. One bedrooom has a double bed and the other has a king sized bed which can be arranged as twin beds if required.
- Up a step to the bathroom with bath and shower over, wc and basin.
- The galley style kitchen is well fitted out for all your catering needs: Equipment includes Electric cooker with gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cafetiere. All the pots and pans and utensils for preparing meals, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
- From the kitchen you enter a conservatory with comfortable wicker furniture from which you can enjoy views of the garden and spill out to the patio area.
- Other useful items: Iron and ironing board, hairdryer, travel cot and highchair, smart TV, wifi.

As a review of Smugglers Cottage, we have to say: It's as good as it gets!
We have stayed all over the UK, since the 80's and can honestly say, this would be hard to beat. The cottage and the garden were wonderful places to be in. You could feel the history in the cottage.
The welcome pack was most appreciated. Although we know the area really well, the walk through the woods to the common and golf club, then onto the cliffs was unforgettable.
